We had a very good stay at Aara overall. However, upon arrival, we had to wait for more than two hours due to a booking confusion. The reception team allotted us cramped single bed rooms (in their code its called Luxury Cottage rooms), even though we had reserved two-bedroom units. We were a group of five families with kids, with most rooms accommodating two adults and two children. The reservation had been made directly one month in advance and was fully prepaid. Despite the chaos, I would like to appreciate the reception team for showing empathy and working toward a solution. Since we had all communication documented through WhatsApp messages and call logs, we were able to present our case. It is unclear whether this was a genuine oversight or an intentional attempt to upsell the same rooms to last-minute guests at a higher tariff. The property has a lot of charm and offers a refreshing change from the usual crowded tourist accommodations. The service deserves special mention — the staff are extremely courteous, responsive, and always willing to help. Their support throughout the stay was noteworthy and genuinely enhanced the overall experience. Requests were handled promptly, and the hospitality felt warm and sincere. Coming to the food, it was decent but nothing exceptional. The taste and variety were just okayish and could certainly be improved to match the quality of the stay. Additionally, the cleanliness in the buffet area was average and needs more attention, especially considering the otherwise good standards maintained across the property.
