This is my 2nd time staying in this resort. Im from Singapore and was there for a yoga retreat. Their service is better than the 5 star city hotels. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. Their beds are one of the best. The food is organic, healthy and tasty. Lots of effort put in when preparing food for the guests. All the hotel staff are hard-working and always going an extra mile to provide great service for the guests, right from the security uncle, housekeeping, manager and the others. The scenic view of this resort is like heaven on earth. The only thing to pay attention is the cleanliness of the bathroom in the room. Otherwise, this is close to 5/5!
Overall experience and stay were excellent. The food was outstanding, especially the authentic Chettinad cuisine. It is a great place for kids as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the bird walk with Mr. Rajesh, who has exceptional knowledge of birds and explained everything beautifully.
The property looks very traditional. The interior and atmosphere are unique, with a beautiful natural setting. The service provided by the staff, especially Chandru, was excellentβvery good and humble. All areas are clean, neat, and very well maintained. The property is located near the Sirivani River, and the sound of the flowing water was amazing. The rooms have individual private pools, which made the stay even more special.
Nestled about 20 km from Coimbatore, Dvara Resort is a charming 16-cottage retreat tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The property beautifully captures the essence of traditional South Indian hospitality, with each cottage and common area thoughtfully named after elements of Tamil culture. The cottages are well-appointed, featuring a French pool and a spacious sit-out that opens into serene surroundings. The bathrooms are well stocked with premium guest amenities and soft towels, ensuring a comfortable stay. The food and beverage menu offers a fine blend of healthy, nourishing drinks and a variety of dishes that cater both to local palates and to lovers of pan-Asian cuisine. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality, taste, and service certainly justify the value. We attended a wedding that was held at this resort recently. The decor was simple and elegant and the food (dinner at Sangeet) and breakfast for (morning wedding) was delicious. The coconut rice with salna and steamed potato and the crispy medu vada the following day were the highlights. The place was maintained very well and the the bathrooms were clean. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and professional. Beautiful venue next to the lake. An issue we faced during the Sangeet was the dew and the grounds became muddy. There was a chill in the air and many of us felt cold despite wearing heavy ornate clothing. Alternatively, it was quite hot during the wedding and we had to move our chairs away from the wedding platform to sit under the shade. Providing heaters for the cold and better shade against the sun would have made it more comfortable. Otherwise, great service, good food and a beautiful venue for small events (max 300 people).
